HideAway Cafe in Vero Beach

I arrived at the (Vero Beach) location around 12:30 and didn't leave until about 12:55. All I ordered was a smoothie. As I am sitting waiting for my smoothie I notice that people who came in after me are getting their orders before me. When I inquire about it they realize that my order slip wasn't turned in..uuuggghh. The part that got me was when the manager blamed an employee for it when she was the one who took my order. It doesn't matter anyways because I eneded up with an icee not a smoothie. Yes, I said icee. There were so many pieces of ice in my smoothie it was ridiculous.It is my fault for continuing to go there, especially after I was giving the wrong sandwich WITH a piece of hair in it *gage*But I will never , ever go to this location again.

Great location! Shaina got my smoothie out just as quick as I could order it, not to mention it was absolutely delicious!

The young ladies who are usually on duty when I visit are on their game.They are hard working and they make a mean Smoothie.

I've been To this tropical a couple of different times as different occasion's and they take forever to get you your smoothies And after it takes you 15 minutes to make a smoothie when there's only 3 customers In the store At least make it taste good I pay $5 for Some blended ice water and a tablespoon of fruit I've probly been here at least 5 times and I like the smoothie one of those 5 times I came I don't know who manages the ones in port Saint Lucie but every time I go there it's right it's fast whoever's Manages that one need to come managed this

I didn't know a smoothie was just an ice drink with fruit pulverized within . My misunderstanding.

Good price for a great smoothie!

I've been recently coming here a bit more frequently, and I noticed a few things, hense 4/5 stars. There's some sort of leak in the ceiling, which is alarming due to mold, should get that checked. The employees are super sweet and deserve a $1-$2 raise because I've seen how fast they're moving in the back and doing the smoothies. I assume they start out at minimum wage, so I believe $10 or more would be perfect. I really love coming here and would really love seeing these improvements, because the employees are worth it.

The friendly staff is super helpful. The food is delicious and healthy. Overall a great experience.

The food at all Tropical smoothie locations isn’t really good at all, but I go for the smoothies. The thing that really irritates me is this location (Vero Beach) is extremely slow service 20 minutes for a smoothie is ridiculous. And this happens a lot, so much so, that I’m considering just making my own at home. Btw I come here a lot, even when I’ve called in my order 15 minutes before pick up, my smoothie wasn’t even started!!! Update....I’m currently here and it’s been 25 minutes now and they’ve given me the wrong smoothie!!! Unbelievable....

Great healthy smoothies! A nice variety of flavors. And a fantastic selection of delicious sandwiches. This place is kept really clean. I usually wait for the page of Coupons they put in the mailbox flyers you get on Wednesdays. Really good buys for both sandwiches and drinks with the coupons. Then I can buy twice as much! Love this place.

Stopped in for the Detox Island Green Smoothie at just 180 calories and it's delicious. Unfortunately 5 hours later I discover that I had left my wallet on the pick up counter. Yikes. I went back and they asked my last name before going into the back to retrieve it for me. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to a great smoothie store.

Vero Beach Florida store is filthy. cash register down for two weeks. they write down credit card numbers on pieces of paper. blenders always broken. cooler door fell off. deliveries not put away. chicken sitting out for hours. mold in protein powder. mold in ice machine. food never prepped. takes 30 minutes for a 3 minute smoothie. new untrained employees left to close store alone. stalls repeatedly out. poor customer service. rude to customers. bad management. no breaks or lunch times. garbage piling up. did not pass health inspection multiple times. manager and owner made aware of issues but continue to ignore them

I've never eaten here but the food looks amazing and healthy. I always have smoothie's with whey protein and flax seed. They have a very wide variety of food and smoothie's. Nice polite staff. Very clean nice atmosphere. If I'm in a hurry I can order and pay over the phone.

Been waiting on a smoothie for for 35 min now only 1person making them. A total of 4 employees and 2 people in kitchen and about 3 people ahead of me. This place is a joke!

If I could give zero stars I would. The Smoothie was good but aside from that this place is filthy. No toilet paper or paper towels in rest rooms. Food moldy and slimy. I got a chicken wrap and at first I thought it was charred but on further inspection realized it was moldy and undercooked. Workers are miserable looking robots who can't be bothered. When I showed the employee shet threw it away and asked "so what do you want me to do now?" Never again.

Let me start off by saying I never write reviews, but I literally wanted to cry after visiting this place. As someone who works in the food/customer service industry, I am always kind and tip well when visiting restaurants. I went in here about a month ago and received the worst customer service I have ever had in my life. I was rudely snapped at when giving my name. I didn’t give it to her fast enough and she said “well I guess you don’t have a name” and was asked if I had a problem when I was talking to my sister after I paid. As I sat down, the person making my smoothie pointed at us and mocked me and my sister as we sat and waited for our smoothies. When we left, she laughed at us and yelled out “have a wonderful day” in the most sarcastic manner. This place needs new employees because not only do they seem miserable but they are really rude to customers. I understand that everyone had bad days, but there was absolutely no reason to be that terrible to me and my sister.

I walked into this location like I usually do on some lunch times to one day see a young lady order her drink then pay to walk over to the restroom. I was still standing in line and told the person working to give me a few. I looked down shortly and saw her spit into the lady smoothie. The young lady name Alexandria. I am sorry but I left there and would never return. I hope the managers takes this seriously and addresses the issue.

The staff has really improved. I recommend calling ahead about 15 minutes to cut the line! Great tasting smoothies.

A nice quiet place for a relaxing casual dinner. The smoothies were great and didn't take too long, which happens often at smoothie places. The jerk chicken bowl was great and when you add a smoothie not too bad priced! I was surprised! The kids meal choices were also refreshing. Both my kids devoured their wraps and smoothies! The two girls working were nice and efficient. The restroom was nice and clean.

Ok. The smoothies are awesome. But the wait sometimes are crazy. Staff the day we were there were disorganized and if not for a guy named Trey would have been there 40min. The store itself needs to be cleaner and can see water damage to the ceiling. The store looks cosmetically neglected. Dont get me wrong the smoothies are amazing 5 stars, but the other issues are why it's only 3 stars now

Did not have a good experience. As soon as I walked in the whole place smelt terrible, not just the kitchen. It smelt like it hadn’t been mopped in days. Ordered a meal and smoothie to go. Was not given utensils or napkins which should be common sense. I also ordered a side of ranch. When I received my meal I stated that I had ordered it with ranch. The short blonde girl talked back to me giving me attitude about the fact it comes with “bbq ranch” well I ordered it with regular ranch and that’s what I paid for. Not to mention the food was bland, and hardly any meat on it I might as well ordered it without meat. I would recommend driving to the tropical smoothie off of 60 for a better experience!

Terrible service. Waited 6 or 7 minutes for someone to take order. Then order was wrong. Love tropical smoothie, not this location.

I ordered my food and then realized I had forgotten to tell them about my dariy allergy, I told the women working the counter, Wanda, she was so nice about it and fixed my issue immediately. She was so friendly and all of the staff were very efficient! Definitely a great experience!

We ordered a kids meal with a smoothie today for curbside delivery, and we scheduled it and paid for it at least an hour in advance. After waiting almost 10 minutes I sent my daughter in to pick it up. They didn’t have the order ready and when they finally did they only handed her a smoothie and not the meal. They were so rude to her that she didn’t speak up and ask for it. She just left.

Went in today for the first time in awhile and was treated HORRIBLY. When placing an order the manager was being extremely rude when I couldn’t hear the question for my order. She became snappy and impatient. Then asked my name and when I said it she obnoxiously told me to repeat it. She is insanely unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. Many complain about her and she continues to treat customers like BURDENS! Love the food but hate the service!!!! Do better

The smoothies are hit or miss, depending on what time you go. If you go around 12:00 expect delays. I've been in here watching people who ordered after me get their smoothies first. Seems like they can't handle the lunch rush very well. The 15 minute wait isn't so bad, but when you have people getting their orders ahead of you, there's a problem. I've noticed the smoothies taste better when they aren't busy... probably because they're paying more attention to the orders. Can't wait until the new location opens up on 60 to avoid this area, and hopefully better management.

Order over the phone, otherwise you'll be waiting a while. Smoothies are good, food is OK.

Side of slaw had literally a fork full of slaw. When I asked about it the manger yelled from the back "Thats the only size we have" I explained that I wasnt asking for anlarger size just the proper amount in the side cup. So she poured it into a larger cup and said here!She is a very rude manager.

There food is very healthy perfect for calorie counting never had a bad experience with them the wait can take a bit but for perfection you can’t put a time on it will eat here forever thank you tropical smoothie cafe.

They need better management. I keep going bc I like the food but the service is terrible. They don't greet you, no smiles, looking wait for food.

They never answer their phone. Poor service! I ordered their Caribbean Jerk bowl for delivery and it came cold and with lettuce instead of rice. I have ordered three times over last six months and every time the order has been delivered wrong! Smoothies are amazing though. Go figure!

highly recommend not giving this place a cent, employees are rude and have no patience, “health conscious fresh food” is a lie. Working back there i can say the food was most certainly not fresh or health conscious, i was told to put expired food in the sandwiches. Working here is even worse than being a customer, any time they’d train me on something new they’d lash out at me for making small mistakes, and the few nice employees there was all ended up leaving. they were probably fired because this place only hires moody a**holes.

Wanda working the resister was more than wonderful, her customer service exceeded the expectations, she needs to be in charge of training and needs a raise ASAP! I will be back to see her !

Me and my coworker TRY to come to tropical smoothie on our lunch break ... it’s takes a good 20 minutes every time for them to make two things as simple as smoothies and it’s ridiculous. Happened again today and we walked out after 1 minute of being there seeing how there was so many people waiting for food items and people still in line that haven’t been served! I Was once a shift leader at a tropical smoothie in Port St. Lucie and NEVER EVER did I let my tropical smoothie be ran like that .. it’s a shame , everyone deserves to have a great experience when your spending your hard earned money there! It’s the only location in Vero Beach and the employees are ruining it for everyone.

The sign on the door said "masks required". After entering I saw 1 customer with and 6 customers without masks. AND none of the four employees were masked. I asked why and got a "so what" shoulder shrug. Not acceptable. Will no longer purchase from this or any Tropical Smoothie store.

Smoothie and sandwiches always on point. Never even have to wait very long!

This place is always a nightmare. They have one person trying to scurry to make like 6 smoothies at once, no one ever acknowledges you or says a word, they never listen when I ask for NO SUGAR added because it makes me sick, so I’ve thrown out smoothies many times. Plus you have to wait 45 minutes too for a smoothie alone. Place needs help and more employees.

Teenagers running this place. Put me on hold for 5 minutes. Call again still cant get through. It's been 30 mins
